First, the main raw materials of waterless taphole clay:
1, Coke powder has good slag resistance, but amount of it will affect the flexural strength of waterless taphole clay, too little will weaken its breathable.
2, Sericite has good sintering properties at low and medium temperature. It can finish the sintering within 15-20 minutes after pressing mud into the taphole and block the iron notch. When the sericite is too much, it will influence the tensile properties of the clay, so it will be controlled below 15%.
3, Clay as a binder has a very good plasticity, but much clay will have cracks in the waterless taphole clay and cause the exudate of molten iron.
4, High aluminium aggregate as skeleton of clay can improve the slag resistance performance of it, we should control the amount and granularity, so as not to affect the mud plasticity and bending strength, and the maximum particle size should below 3mm.
Two, the impacts of the iron mouth when maintain it:
1, The depth of the iron notch: the distance between the clay cannons formed from the outside of the iron gate and the clay in the furnace, and the depth of the iron notch is about 1.25 times the thickness of the blast furnace wall. Too shallow iron gates will destroy the iron mouth furnace walls and even cause accidents. The deep iron notch will easily cause tidal iron estuary. The main reason for the shallow iron hole is due to the poor strength of the slime and the abnormal temperature of the furnace.
2.The tide of iron gate: 450-58 m3 blast furnace time interval of 30 minutes, the tide of iron gate refers to 30 minutes without stemming fully sintered carbon bond, no carbonization, volatile burst in the case of molten iron at high temperature, the molten iron slag splashing, even like a rocket ejected from the iron mouth; the main reason is: in front of the furnace a short interval, when tapping in alluvial mud not baked, reasons stemming carbon bond is too much, too little mud making difficult bond, or even not dense, not blocking taphole.
3, Iron seepage: when the gun mud is at the opening of the iron, a small amount of molten iron is outflowing when the depth is not reached, and the drill pipe is blocked by the iron. The main reason may be the reason in blast furnace, the pug has a large crack caused by the amount of expansion agent is added to adjust the solution.
4, Tapping time is short and running is large: the main reason is low tensile strength of stemming, the quality of raw materials is the reason, mixing and muddy mud are also the key factors, and high-grade raw materials such as mixing is not uniform and time is not enough, which may cause low tensile strength of stemming.
Three, the appearance quality monitoring of the gun mud:
1, from the mud machine out of the mud, rubbed with hand rubbing into the diameter of the small ball around 50px, such as hand feel, but not thin and soft, the quality is basically qualified.
2, when the ball is gently pressed down with a hand, it will not split.
3, the mud from the machine will not divide.
